• the project specifies a particular slate or architectural metal

We will always be transparent about material origin and suitability before proceeding.

Over time, copper develops a patina. The colour shift typically moves through stages:

• bright copper
• deeper brown tones
• eventual green patina (timing varies by exposure)

This patina is part of what protects the metal.

Copper is known for exceptional longevity. When installed correctly, it can perform for many decades, often longer than most other roofing materials.

Copper is not typically painted or coated. Maintenance is mainly about:

• keeping drainage clear
• correct separation from incompatible metals
• ensuring detailing allows for movement
