In the end of 2008 Carter Roofing & Slating Pty Ltd restored a roof of this historic two storey building at Victoria Avenue, Claremont using Redland Rosemary plain tiles. The original tiles were replaced with identical plain tiles imported from UK by Carter Roofing & Slating Pty Ltd.
Our client Olympic Holdings Pty Ltd spent more than two years developing Colwyn, a landmark building constructed in Federation Queen Ann style in the Perth suburb of Claremont, which won this year's HIA Renovations/Additions Project of the Year Award.
The judges were impressed with the exceptional craft manship and construction details needed to restore this dwelling. Replication of period features are described as so authentic, that you cannot tell the difference between them and the originals.
This is a second time this project has received an award. In March 2010 our client Olympic Holdings were awarded 2010 Bankwest Housing Award for the category of '2010 Best Alterations & Additions over $1 million'
